The YVUCET 2026 cutoff is the minimum marks or rank needed for admission to a PG program. There are two types: the qualifying cutoff (minimum marks to be eligible for counselling) and the admission cutoff (the actual rank or marks at which seats are filled in a specific course).
Qualifying Cutoff
- General / Unreserved (OC): 25 marks (25%)
- OBC / Backward Classes (BC): 25 marks (25%)
- SC / ST: No minimum marks

Expected Admission Cutoff (Based on Previous Year Trends)
- Popular courses like M.Sc. Biotechnology, M.Sc. Genetics, and M.Sc. Mathematics often require 55–70+ marks out of 100 for General category seats.
- Courses with more seats and fewer applicants may fill at 35–50 marks for General category candidates.
The official admission cutoff for each course is declared by YVU after counselling rounds are complete. Aim for the highest score possible to secure your preferred course in the first counselling round.
