Loyola Institute of Business Administration (LIBA)

Loyola Institute of Business Administration (LIBA) is a business school in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. It was established in 1979 and is run by the Loyola College Society.

LIBA is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). Its flagship Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) is recognized by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) as equivalent to an MBA.

LIBA offers a 2-year full-time PGDM programme. This programme allows dual specializations in Finance, Marketing, Human Resources, Business Analytics, Operations, and Information Technology.

The institute also offers other programmes. These include a part-time or weekend PGDM, Executive Diplomas, a Ph.D. in Management, and Management Development Programs.

Admission to LIBA is based on Common Admission Test (CAT) or Xavier Aptitude Test (XAT) scores. Shortlisted candidates must then appear for a Group Discussion, a Written Ability Test, and a Personal Interview.

The selection process also gives weight to academic performance and the candidate's overall profile.

The total fee for the flagship full-time PGDM programme is INR 19.98 lakhs.

LIBA has received several rankings. It is ranked 7th among private business schools by Outlook 2025, 18th by IIRF 2025, and 55th in the Management category by NIRF 2025.

The institute has recorded a 100% placement rate in recent years. The average cost to company (CTC) is around INR 11-11.2 LPA, with the highest package reaching INR 21 LPA.
