A grand valedictory ceremony of the seven-day NSS Camp, organised from January 9 to January 15 was held with great enthusiasm at Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Jalandhar. On this occasion, a technical session was conducted in which Mr. Mohit Rubal from the Department of Journalism was present as the resource person. He shared his insightful views with the students on the issue of digital addiction. During the ceremony, students who actively contributed at various levels throughout the camp were honoured with certificates based on their performances and achievements.

NSS Camp Days 4, 5 & 6 organised at Apeejay College Fostered Environmental Awareness, Health Education and Community Bonding. Day 4 was dedicated to promoting environmental awareness in Village Jamsher Khaas. Day 5 witnessed vibrant community engagement as the NSS volunteers celebrated Lohri with the villagers, strengthening cultural bonds. The volunteers also donated books to school students. On the 6th day, a technical session dedicated to the theme “Swarnim Bharat” was organised at the college.

Apeejay College of Fine Arts Students Secure Top Three Positions under the Skill India Initiative Students of Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Jalandhar continue to bring laurels to the institution through their consistent achievements in academics, sports, and cultural activities. Adding another proud milestone, the students delivered an outstanding performance under the Skill India initiative launched by the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Government of India. As part of this prestigious initiative, competitions were organized for participants from 36 states and Union Territories across the country. Representing Punjab in the Painting and Decorating competition, Kavya Sharma secured the first position, Vanshika Thakur won the second position, and Diya Talwar achieved the third position, thereby making the college immensely proud. These students will now proceed to showcase their talent at the national level. Expressing her delight over this remarkable achievement, Principal Dr. Neerja Dhingra congratulated the winning students and encouraged them to continue honing their skills with dedication and discipline. She expressed confidence that their perseverance would help them achieve further success at the national level and beyond. Dr. Dhingra also appreciated the sincere efforts of the event coordinators, Ms. Rajni Gupta and Mr. Anil Gupta, for their constant guidance and mentorship. She commended their role in motivating students to actively participate in various competitions organized by the Government of India, thereby nurturing skill development, creativity, and professional excellence among students

Under the Swarnim Bharat theme of the 7 day NSS camp at Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Jalandhar, students were taken on an educational excursion to Sadda Pind, Amritsar, on the third day. The primary objective of this visit was to acquaint students with India’s rich and diverse cultural heritage. A total of 50 NSS volunteers participated in the visit to Sadda Pind.

The second day of the seven-day NSS camp at Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Jalandhar proved to be highly informative for students. Alongside raising awareness about serious issues such as HIV and AIDS, the sessions also highlighted the origin and significance of the Swarnim Bharat theme for a developing nation like India. The technical session was featured by Mr. Jagjeet Singh as the resource person. He is the Project Coordinator at the Ludhiana office of Apollo Tyres Healthcare Centre “Pehla”, an NGO completing 30 years of service in 2026.

Harmehar Singh Lali, a 5th-semester Bachelor of Design student, enhanced the prestige of the college by winning medals at the 68th National Shooting Championship Competition (Shotgun) held in New Delhi from 13 December to 17 December. He secured a Gold medal in Skeet Shooting Individual Junior Team Men, a Bronze medal in Skeet Shooting Individual Men, and, while leading the Punjab team, won a Gold medal in Skeet Shooting Junior Men Team, along with a Bronze medal in Skeet Mixed Team Junior.

Sahil Chawla, a student of B.Voc. (E-Commerce and Digital Marketing) at Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Jalandhar, has been chosen by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India, to take part in the Republic Day Parade scheduled to be held in Delhi on 26 January. The final screening for selection involved three stages: the first at Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar; the second at Guru Kashi University, Talwandi Sabo; and the third at the North Zone Pre-RD Camp at Chitkara University, Rajpura. In this rigorous selection process—which evaluated parade marching, cultural performance, physical fitness, and interviews—only four students from Punjab were selected. Sahil will undergo parade training in Delhi from 1 January to 31 January 2026 in preparation for the Republic Day celebration.

Our student, Harmehar Singh Lali, a fifth-semester student of Bachelor of Design, has made the college proud by winning two gold medals and one silver medal at the Asian Shooting Championship held in Kazakhstan. He secured gold medals in the Skeet Shooting Junior Team (Men) and Skeet Shooting Junior Mixed Team events, along with a silver medal in the Skeet Shooting Junior Men Individual category. Earlier, representing his team at the International Sports Shooting Federation Junior World Cup held in New Delhi, Harmehar achieved fourth place.
