Participated in the Swachhata Hi Seva campaign held on Oct 2 by cleaning the premises of the government general Hospital as part of Swachh Bharat Mission. Health Minister Sri Thanneeru Harish Rao, Honorable Minister for Finance, Health Medical and Family Welfare inaugurated the new 1000 bedded Government General Hospital located within the Medical College Campus. Pharmacology The Department of Pharmacology has conducted 3rd national Pharmacovigilance week under the aegis of NCC-PvPi from 16th -23rd September,2023 and Have conducted the following activities: Microbiology The Department of Microbiology conducted 3 day Hands on Training workshop on Basic Molecular Biology Technology on 14th to16th of November 2023. Second year PG Dr. Zohra Fatima was awarded first prize for E poster presentation in National Conference. Pediatrics On occasion of world prematurity day 17th November, Awareness session to the general public and reviewed achievements of GGH Siddipet in Achieving excellence in the care being proving to the general public. SNCU Siddipet was accredited level II-A by the National Neonatology forum NNF valid till Jan 2024 care with well advanced Life support systems such as Ventilators & CPAP. The SNCU was also won the 1st prize in survey conducted by UNICEF & NNF in the category of Quality of new born care services. Children’s Day celebrations in the department on 14th November 2023. Award to the Head of Department from TVVP Commissioner Regular screening of babies for ROP in collaboration with L V Prasad Eye Institute, 2000babies screened, 70 babies given treatment . NICU visited by Dr. Srinivas president of NNF and trained staff in Newborn Care. 700 g baby found abandoned was found and brought to GGH Siddipet. Admitted & treated in NICU, KMC ward for 3 months and discharged in good health. Organized Breast feeding Awareness drive during World Breastfeeding Week August 1 to 7th 2023. Pathology The department of Pathology conducted “Anaemia Detection and Awareness Camp” on 01-04-2019 to 10-04-2019 in collaboration with Internal Complaints Committee GDC(A), Siddipet. The department of pathology participated as speaker in one day workshop on “Life….. (Topic) ” At government degree college, Siddipet, for creating awareness among young students about the prevalence, diagnosis of cancers – especially breast and cervix cancer, about the life style management to reduce the risk of cancer on 12 May 2023. Community Medicine Organized Awareness March on the occasion of World Diabetes Day 14 Nov 2023 by the Undergraduate Students and Faculty. Observed World Sight Day ,12th October 2023 in collaboration with the department of Ophthalmology. Filarial Survey & Drug Administration in Gajwel Physiology Participated in e-poster competition and won 3rd prize in “Recent trend and updates in neurophysiology with synopsis on intraoperative neuro-monitoring” CME at AIIMS Bibinagar. MED-EXPO 2023 Anaesthesia Department of Anaesthesia celebrated WORLD ANAESTHESIA DAY on 16 th October and a seminar was organized on this year’s theme Onco Anaesthesia.
