<h2>IIM Indore Receives EQUIS Accreditation</h2>
<p>The Indian Institute of Management Indore (IIM Indore) has been awarded the EFMD Quality Improvement System (EQUIS) accreditation by EFMD. The EQUIS Accreditation Board voted to confer this accreditation on December 10, 2019.</p>
<p>IIM Indore is now the second IIM in India to receive triple accreditations. This is known as the 'Triple Crown'.</p>

<h2>What is the Triple Crown</h2>
<p>The 'Triple Crown' means a business school has received all three prominent accreditations. These are the Association of MBAs (AMBA, UK), the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB, USA), and EQUIS, European Union.</p>
<p>Less than one percent of business schools in the world hold this combination of accreditations. As of March 2019, only 90 business schools globally had received the 'Triple Crown', out of more than 13,000 schools offering business degree programmes.</p>

<h2>Director's Statement</h2>
<p>Professor Himanshu Rai, Director of IIM Indore, said the accreditation places the institute on the world stage. He said it marks the culmination of years of hard work with a determination to be a world class institution that contributes to nation building.</p>
<p>He added that business schools around the world are looking at IIM Indore for its socially conscious courses and programmes. He mentioned the Rural Engagement Programme and the Himalayan Outbound Programme as examples. He said the EQUIS accreditation and triple crown will make the institute a favoured destination for schools across the globe.</p>

<h2>About EQUIS Accreditation</h2>
<p>EQUIS accreditation is the most comprehensive institutional accreditation system for business and management schools. It is acknowledged worldwide by potential students, faculty, employers, corporate clients, and the media. It is often a pre-requisite for entry into ranking systems.</p>
<p>EQUIS ensures rigorous quality control that benchmarks a school against international standards. It covers governance, programmes, students, faculty, research, internationalization, ethics, responsibility, sustainability, and engagement with the world of practice.</p>
<p>EQUIS covers all activities of a school, including degree and non-degree programmes, knowledge generation, and contribution to the community. Currently, only 40 schools in Asia have received EQUIS accreditation.</p>

<h2>IIM Indore Rankings and History</h2>
<p>IIM Indore was established in 1996 and has completed 23 years. The institute stands at NIRF Rank 5 for the year 2019.</p>
<p>The institute has also received a rank in the top 100 FT Rankings 2019. It has been placed in the 101+ bands in the World QS Rankings 2019 for Indian Business Schools.</p>

<h2>First Accreditation: AMBA</h2>
<p>The first accreditation was received from the Association of MBAs, a UK-based agency. It was received for four full-time programmes in the year 2016.</p>
<p>The accredited programmes are:</p>
<ul>
<li>Two Year Post Graduate Programme in Management (at Indore and Mumbai)</li>
<li>One Year Full Time Executive Post Graduate Programme in Management (EPGP)</li>
<li>Five Year Integrated Programme in Management (IPM, 4th and 5th Year)</li>
</ul>
<p>IIM Indore received re-accreditation from AMBA for the next five years in November 2019.</p>

<h2>Second Accreditation: AACSB</h2>
<p>The second accreditation was received from the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business International (AACSB) in January 2019. AACSB is the longest-serving global accrediting body for business schools.</p>
<p>AACSB is the largest business education network that connects students, educators, and businesses worldwide. Today, 831 institutions across 54 countries and territories maintain AACSB accreditation.</p>
