Welcome to the Department of Computer Science & Engineering at JBREC. The Department of Computer Science & Engineering was established in the academic year 2002-2003 with an intake of 60 in the beginning in the Bachelor courses of Computer Science & Engineering (CSE) and was subsequently increased to 180, besides an additional 10% under lateral entry scheme.

The vision of the CSE Department is Global Excellence and Local Relevance in Teaching, Research and Technology development in Computer Science and Engineering. In pursuit of this vision, the Department is actively engaged in research activities in various research areas.

Department of CSE has well-qualified and experienced faculty who are specialists in the areas of C Programming, Java Programming, Data Structures, Databases, Data Mining, Computer Architecture, Operating Systems, Image Processing, Wireless Networks, Artificial Neural Networks, Information Security and Other Programming Languages. There are around 30+ dedicated faculty members with good amount of experience in these different areas. The faculty members are actively involved in research activities in the field of their specialization. They have published number of papers in journals and Conferences of National and International repute.

Students of CSE have fulfilled the expectations of the department by grabbing envious positions in some of the top notch software/hardware companies of India like Amazon, Wipro, Infosys, MAQ software, Cognizant and Sasken. Many others of them have obtained admissions to M.S and PhD with scholarships at reputed American, UK, Australian and other universities overseas.
