The Institute has an anti-ragging squad headed by a senior faculty member. The students at the entry level sign an affidavit as per AICTE and State Government guidelines about non-involvement in ragging activities. Anti-ragging squad tries to ensure that there are no instances of ragging anywhere on the campus and hostels. Anti-ragging posters are displayed at strategic places within the campus. The institute main gates are guarded, and entry points screened along with surveillance system. The safety and security of all the students is ensured by the Institute in all respect. A dedicated email address antiragging.squad@kgec.edu.in has been there in the Institute for receiving anonymous complains from students.

The Institute has a functional Internal Complaints Committee (ICC) for addressing against sexual harassment of women at the workplace (prevention, prohibition and redressal) as per guidelines of State Government and AICTE. The committee is headed by a senior female faculty of the Institute. ICC meets on a need basis to address any complaints from students, teaching and nonteaching members and takes necessary action. The Institute has a zero-tolerance policy towards any such transgression. It is committed for ensuring a safe and conducive work and academic environment to students and its employees and is extremely alert to matters pertaining to any kind of harassment and gender sensitivity. Posters are displayed at strategic places withing the campus to communicate the philosophy of Institute in such matters. A dedicated email address icc.chairman@kgec.edu.in is in place for receiving any such complaints and its redressal.

The institute has a well-structured and dynamic internal examination grievance cell, linking the students with the faculty in the continuous evaluation process. The Department HoDs, Controller of Examinations along with Principal and other Teaching, Administrative faculty ensure smooth conduction of continuous assessment (CA). The Cas are conducted and evaluated as per strict University guidelines. The student’s grievances related to internal examination are solved by a dedicated committed for fair grievance redressal headed by a senior faculty of the Institute. The institute receives complaints regarding discrepancies in CA marks through a dedicated email address marks.grievance@kgec.edu.in . Students may also submit their grievance to department H.O.D and The Principal.
