Dr. Kavita Lalchandani is the Principal at K. C. Law College, Mumbai, Dean (Ag), Faculty of Interdisciplinary Studies and Former Registrar (Ag), H.S.N.C. University, Mumbai. She has vast experience of more than 29 years in the subjects of law.

Dr. Kavita Lalchandani started her career as an Advocate. She joined as a Full-time faculty at G. J. Advani Law College, Bandra, Mumbai. She also served as a principal for more than 9 years in the said College at Bandra. Thus, she has an experience of holding position of Principal at two law Colleges. Her main areas of interest are Family Laws, Human Rights and issues related to women.

Looking at her ardor and knowledge in the field of law she became member of Mumbai Legal Aid Services Authority appointed by the Government of Maharashtra. She is presently the Chairperson, Board of Studies, Faculty of Law, HSNC University, Member of Board of Studies, Faculty of Law and Visiting Faculty, Dept. of Law, University of Mumbai and also member of Board of Studies in autonomous Colleges i.e. K. J. Somaiya College and Thakur College, Mumbai. She is also a guide for Ph.D. in Law at University of Mumbai and JJT University, Rajasthan. She is also a member of various other committees at University of Mumbai. She has been appointed as an expert for various competitive exams conducted by various State Governments. She was the Member of Internal Complaints Committee in one of the Corporate firms.

With all these qualities Dr. Kavita Lalchandani is the recipient of various awards:

Dr. Kavita Lalchandani has also published many articles in reputed journals and has also presented many papers at International, National and State Level Conferences and Seminars. She has been invited as a Panel Member of Lok Adalat conducted by Mumbai Legal Aid Services Authority. She is invited as a Resource Persons in Seminars, Conferences and lectures across the country.
