A candidate with higher aggregate marks, such as 300, has a better chance of securing admission into the top IITs in courses like CSE. To get admission into IIT Bombay with the CSE course, a candidate is required to score above 330 marks.
A candidate with 150 marks will find it difficult to secure admission into IITs, especially in competitive branches. Such candidates have other options like NITs, IIITs, or GFTIs, where the competition is comparatively less.

JEE Advanced AAT 2025 Result
IIT Kanpur released the JEE Advanced Architecture Aptitude Test (AAT) 2025 results on 8 June 2025. The scorecard is available on the official website – jeeadv.ac.in.
Candidates can check their AAT result 2025 by logging in with their JEE Advanced registration number, date of birth, and mobile number.
Candidates who have qualified for the AAT can take admission to the Bachelor of Architecture (BArch) programmes offered by the IIT BHU Varanasi, IIT Kharagpur, and IIT Roorkee.

JEE Advanced 2025 Score Calculation
The JEE Advanced 2025 exam has two mandatory papers - Paper 1 and Paper 2. Each paper is for 3 hours and includes Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. Each paper is divided into 4 sections, with a total of 183 marks per paper, making a total of 366 marks.
Marking Scheme for JEE Advanced
JEE Advanced uses different marking rules for different question types. The total score is the sum of marks earned in all sections of both papers.
- Multiple-Choice Questions (MCQs): Each correct response gives +4 marks, while an incorrect response results in a −1 mark penalty. Unanswered questions are worth 0 marks.
- Numerical Answer Type Questions: Correct responses are worth +4 marks, with no negative marking for incorrect or unanswered responses.
- Integer-Based Questions: Just like numerical answer-type questions, these give +4 marks for correct responses, with no penalty for incorrect answers.
The performance of candidates is measured according to the correctness of their answers, with allowance for partial credit in some question types.
