Jawaharlal Nehru University Combined Entrance Examination for Biotechnology Eligibility Criteria

  • You must be an Indian national to apply for GAT-B.
  • You need a bachelor’s degree in Physical Sciences, Chemical Sciences, Biological Sciences, Agricultural Sciences, Veterinary Sciences, Fishery Sciences, Pharmacy, Engineering/Technology, or Medicine (MBBS/BDS/BVSc).
  • General, OBC-NCL, and EWS candidates need a minimum of 60% aggregate marks in their qualifying degree. SC, ST, and PwD candidates need a minimum of 55%.
  • Final-year bachelor’s degree students can apply on a provisional basis, but must submit proof of eligibility at the time of admission.
  • There is no upper age limit for GAT-B.
  • For BET, you must hold a 4-year undergraduate degree or a postgraduate degree in Biotechnology or allied fields. The maximum age limit is 28 years for General and EWS candidates, with a 3-year relaxation for OBC-NCL candidates.
