NIFT 2026 Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must satisfy the NIFT 2026 eligibility criteria to apply. The requirements differ for undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) courses.
Eligibility for UG Courses
- Candidates should have qualified Class 12th exam from a recognized State or Central Education Board.
- Those with a diploma/degree certificate from any institute recognized by AICTE or State Board of Technical Education can also apply for NIFT 2026.
- The maximum age limit defined for NIFT 2026 is 24 years as of August 01, 2023, for General Category.
- Age relaxation of 5 years will be given to SC/ST/PHP applicants.
Eligibility for PG Courses
- There is no upper age limit constrain for Master's degree program (M Des, M.FTech, MFM).
- For admission into M.Des & M.F.M programs, applicants must have obtained a UG degree from any institution/university recognized by the Government of India.
- For admission into the M.Tech program, applicants should have passed B.F.Tech from NIFT or B.E./B.Tech from any institution/university recognized by the law of Government of India.
Note: Candidates whose one of the parents works in Development commissioner (Handloom or Handicraft) are eligible for Artisan category. Application form for which will be announced in the official notification.
How to Fill NIFT Application Form 2026
NIFT Application form 2026 will only be available online. Candidates will have to visit the official site, www.nift.ac.in to fill the application form. Application Form must not be sent via post as it will not be accepted through offline mode.
Step 1: NIFT 2026 Online Registration (Create Log-In)
- Visit the official website of NIFT, i.e. www.nift.ac.in.
- Fill in the details like candidates name, DOB, reserved category details, valid email-id, select the program from the drop-down.
- Candidates email id and Date of Birth will be used for login for NIFT 2026.
How to Fill the NIFT 2026 Application Form
The application form for NIFT 2026 is filled online. You must complete the process in steps, starting with registration and ending with a printout.
Step 1: Login and Fill Details
- Log in using your email ID and date of birth.
