NIFT 2025 Exam Date and Admission
The NTA will conduct the NIFT 2025 Exam on February 9, 2025. Admission to B.F.Tech, M.F.Tech, M.F.M, B.Des, and M.Des will be based on exam performance.
- The GAT (General Ability Test) paper will be conducted online in CBT mode.
- The CAT (Creativity Ability Test) will be conducted offline.
- Candidates must qualify each stage of the exam separately for admission to their chosen course.
- The question paper will be available in English only.
- No marks will be deducted for wrong answers in the CAT paper.

NIFT 2025 Exam Pattern in Detail
The NIFT 2025 entrance exam will be held in 3 stages, beginning with GAT followed by CAT. GAT is a written test for all 5 courses offered by NIFT.
GAT is the first test for selection for B.Des and M.Des courses. After clearing GAT, B.Des and M.Des students must qualify CAT. Applicants who clear both written tests are eligible for the Situation Test followed by Group Discussion or Personal Interview. GAT is the only selection test for B.F.Tech, M.F.Tech, and MFM.
- GAT is conducted in offline mode only.
- For B.Des and M.Des, the GAT exam is 2 hours long.
- For B.F.Tech, MFM, and M.F.Tech, the GAT exam is 3 hours long.

NIFT 2025 Exam Pattern

Candidates should go through the following instructions before appearing in the examination:
