XIC OET 2025 Exam Pattern
The Xavier Institute of Communications Online Entrance Test (XIC OET) 2025 has two sections. Part A is objective and Part B is subjective.
The total exam duration is 120 minutes. Part A lasts 60 minutes and Part B lasts 60 minutes.
Part A carries 100 marks. It includes questions on general knowledge, language, and media.
Part B carries 100 marks. It has three subjective questions on essay writing, creative writing, and an opinion piece.
Candidates who qualify in the entrance exam must appear for the next round. This round includes a Personal Interview and Group Discussion.

Part II: Subjective Type Questions
- Essay Writing on any current affair topic (200 words)
- Opinion Piece (250 words)

Note: In the subjective section, candidates must write answers in proper English. Answers using SMS language or short forms will not be evaluated.
XIC OET 2025 Important Points
All important information related to the exam is given below.
- The test is conducted in online mode as a computer-based test (CBT).
- The exam duration is 90 minutes.
- The question paper has two parts: subjective and objective.
- The objective part has 100 questions of 100 marks.
- The subjective part is of 50 marks.
- Total marks for the exam are 150.
- After qualifying the CBT, candidates are called for an interview.
- Candidates who applied for PR, MCM, and AICP courses are not required to appear for the Personal Video Interview session (Skype video calling).

XIC OET 2025 Important Instructions
Candidates appearing for the exam must follow the instructions given below.
- Solve easy and direct questions first to use time efficiently.
- Attach the same passport size photograph on the admit card as uploaded on the application form.
- Carry a printed copy of the downloaded call letter along with a photo id proof in original.
- Acceptable photo id proofs include Aadhar card, passport, pan card, and others.
Note: Without the admit card and id proof, you will not be allowed to sit in the exam.
