Independence day celebrations were held on 15-08-2024, commemorating the nations journey to freedom and honouring the sacrifices of the heroes who fought for it . The celebration begin with the hoisting the national flag followed by the national anthem. Guest speakers delivered motivational speeches on the values of freedom, unity and responsibility. Students attended the celebration reflecting the strong community spirit and patriotism

76th republic day was celebrated in the college and the programme organized by NSS cell of St. Joseph Dental College,Duggirala on 26-01-2025 at 7:30 am in the reception area of SJDC.

At 7:30 am in the morning all the students, teaching and non-teaching staff along with the honourable dignitaries and chief guests with the total of 200 members had gathered at the reception area with the spirit of patriotism to make the event a grand success . The programme began with addressing the chief guests and bouquets were presented to them by students. The hoisting ceremony began with vandematharam followed by national anthem to Honour the flag

World AIDS day is observed annually on December 1st to raise awareness about AIDS and HIV. This year’s theme is “Take the Rights Path: My Health, My Right” to emphasize the importance of protecting humanrights in the fight against HIV/AIDS.

On the occasion of World AIDS Day, the Department of Public Health Dentistry conducted a campaign from 29/11/24 (Friday) to 1/12/24 (Sunday) to provide awareness about HIV and AIDS among the public by distributing pamphlets and red ribbons under the guidance of Dr. M. PavanaSandhya (Head of the department). The department’s interns prepared red ribbons and pamphlets before the campaign. The campaign was held from 9:30 AM to 1:00 PM on all three days, covering RR Peta and Ashok Nagar (29/11/24), Chataparru and B.D. Colony (30/11/24), and one town and old bus stand (1/12/24) in Eluru and college permises. A circular regarding “Slogan Contest” for World AIDS day was circulated among UG and PG students inwhich students were asked to submit slogans for World AIDS Day in Hindi, Telugu, and English. A total of 32 students participated in the event the winners of the competition were Dr. M. Nidhiksha (intern), Julekha (3rd year), Dr.P.R.Nirmala (intern)

The World Oral Health Day Is Celebrated On 6th Of March Every Year, On the

Occasion of World Oral Health Day Dept of Public Health Dentistry Has Conducted a Comic Book Competition (Ai Generated, Hand Drawn) On the Theme “HAPPY MOUTH IS A HAPPY MIND” In, Eluru Under the Guidance of Dr. M. Pavana Sandhya Prof & HOD Dept Of Public Health Dentistry (NSS PO) &Dr. T. Prasanth Sr. Lecturer (NSS APO). A poster is made by the department interns for advertising the competition & poster is displayed in every department noticeboard. Many Of the Under Graduates & Post Graduates Took Part in This Comic Book Competition.

The competitors were judged by DR.B. INDIRA PRIYADARSHINI, DR. SUZAN SAHANA, DR.M. PRIYANKA.Lots of appreciation are received form staff & patients as many of the patients were educated by this display. Among the participants first two winners were announced in each category (AI Generated, Hand Drawn)
