St. Joseph's College of Commerce - [SJCC]

SJCC offers several institutional scholarships to support meritorious students and those from economically weaker sections. These are granted directly by the college and are not linked to any government schemes.

The main scholarships are the Josephite Merit Scholarship, the Financial Assistance Scheme, and awards for excellence in sports, NCC, and cultural activities.

<strong>Josephite Merit Scholarship</strong>
This scholarship is for students who score 90% and above in their qualifying exams. It offers a tuition fee concession of up to 50%.

<strong>Financial Assistance Scheme</strong>
This scheme is for students from economically weaker sections who can provide valid income proof. It offers a need-based fee waiver of up to 50%.

<strong>Sports & NCC Excellence Award</strong>
Students who have participated in sports or NCC at the state, national, or university level can apply. The benefit is a cash prize or a partial fee waiver.

<strong>Cultural Talent Award</strong>
This award recognizes students with achievements in intercollegiate, state, or national-level cultural events. It includes a certificate and performance-based rewards.

<strong>Alumni-Sponsored Scholarships</strong>
These are for students with consistent academic performance and a record of community service. The benefit is cash rewards or partial tuition support.

Group – A Scholarships for the Economically Backward B.Com/BBA/M.Com students who are economically weak, especially from the rural areas is eligible to apply provided he/she furnishes enough evidence for his/her eligibility, enclosing a community/income certificate. A good academic record (passed in all subjects with 60% and above, attendance 75% and above) is also required.=Number of scholarship – 400 Group – B Scholarships for Co-Curricular and Extra Curricular Activities B.Com/BBA/M.Com students who are actively associated with the literary/cultural or sports activities of the college and has sufficient proof to support his/her application can apply. The application should have the reference of at least two staff members. =Number of scholarship – 100 Students are requested to download the Scholarship application from the College website along with a copy of voters ID/Aadhaar Card and Bank Account Number to Ms. Gretta Furtado, Student Counsellor for the Scholarship by 13 th January 2021.
