WUD School of Business students recently visited the iTOYS Manufacturing Unit, Kundali (Haryana) for an insightful industrial experience. The visit provided students with practical exposure to real-world manufacturing processes, product development, and business operations. They gained valuable insights into how creativity and strategy come together in the toy industry. Such experiences help bridge the gap between classroom learning and industry practices, preparing our students for future professional challenges.

Shweta Dahiya, Assistant Professor, School of Business, was invited as a judge for Impressions: The Art of You at EDESIA26, organized by the National Institute of Food Technology Entrepreneurship and Management (NIFTEM), an Institute of National Importance, Kundli, Sonipat, Haryana.She evaluated the performances and presented awards to the winners, appreciating the creativity and efforts of all participants.

An AI Elective Exhibition was organized to showcase innovative student projects developed as part of the AI elective course. Students from various disciplines presented their work, demonstrating how they identified real-life problems and applied AI-based solutions through a structured design process. The exhibition highlighted interdisciplinary creativity, practical application of AI concepts, and the ability of students to address contemporary challenges using technology.

School of Business students visited LT Foods Ltd., Sonipat, as part of an industrial exposure initiative. They observed real-time processes such as rice processing, packaging, and quality control systems. The visit provided insights into supply chain management, branding, and export practices, effectively bridging classroom learning with practical industry experience in a meaningful way.

The academic visit to The Kunj was an enriching experience that connected classroom learning with real-world sustainable practices. The Kunj is more than a retail space, it is a thoughtfully curated platform celebrating Indian handicrafts, handlooms, and artisan stories. The beautifully designed interiors, inspired by crafts from different states, created an immersive cultural atmosphere. Each store highlighted ethical production, natural materials, and authentic craftsmanship. From handcrafted games and brass utensils to sustainable apparel and traditional artworks with certified packaging, every product reflected creativity and responsibility. The visit helped us understand how sustainability is practiced through eco-friendly processes, inclusive packaging, and support for local artisans. It also revealed pricing strategies, branding approaches, and market positioning within craft-based businesses. Overall, the experience bridged theory and practice, deepening our appreciation for sustainable fashion and the cultural value of Indian craftsmanship.

The UI/UX and Digital Product Design Exhibition showcased the creative and technical work completed by students during this semester. Students presented their design projects from the very first stage of research to the final visual outcomes, demonstrating how ideas grow into complete design solutions. They displayed user experience research, user flow studies, and UI screens that were created to improve interaction and make digital products more user-friendly. The exhibition also featured projects from Physical Computing and Robotics, where students used IoT concepts and Arduino UNO kits to develop practical solutions for real-life problems. Overall, the event highlighted the students? skills in design thinking, innovation, and technology-driven problem-solving.

Our UI/UX and DPD students visited the Gita Mahotsav at Kurukshetra. The visit was planned to enhance their observation, perception, and design-thinking skills in a real environment. At Brahma Sarovar, students closely studied crowd movement, storytelling, space design, signage, and overall visual communication. This experience helped them understand how people interact with public spaces and how cultural elements shape meaningful user experiences. The visit successfully connected classroom learning with real-world design applications.

The World University of Design (WUD), through its Fashion Communication Design program, collaborated with immersive-technology leader Yologram to explore AR/VR applications for fashion in gaming. The initiative began with an address by Mr. Aditya Mani (Founder & CEO of Yologram), who introduced students to opportunities for fashion in virtual ecosystems. Interdisciplinary teams, including Fashion Communication and Gaming/Animation students, utilized Yologram tools to conceptualize virtual products, brand environments, and phygital merchandise (integrating CLO3D with real apparel). Their work covered spatial storytelling, avatar identity, and digital asset development for the Metaverse. The project culminated in a high-level event at the India International Centre on November 21, 2025, featuring two panel discussions with industry leaders (including Mr. Alok Lall, for former COO, Microsoft India) on the future of virtual commerce, gaming, and fashion integration.
