<p>Indian Institute of Science (IISc) has several endowed chair positions funded by companies, organisations, and individuals. Each chair supports research and academic work in a specific field.</p>

<h3>ABB Chair</h3>
<p>The ABB Chair was established in 1996 by Asea Brown Boveri Limited, Bangalore. It covers the areas of High Voltage Engineering, Power Systems, and Power Electronics.</p>
