Andhra University was established in 1926 by the Madras University Act to serve the entire linguistic region of Andhra as a residential teaching-cumaffiliating multi-disciplinary university.

The 100 years of glorious journey, recognizing its quality pursuits, the University was graded with A++ with score of 3.74 out of 4 in 2023 for seven full years till 2030, which is highest among top three universities in India.
