  • Part I (Objective): This section has 30 multiple-choice and multiple-select questions for 40 marks. It covers general knowledge, arts and culture, cinema awareness, television and digital media, and film studies.
  • General Knowledge: Includes current affairs, Indian and world history, geography, science and technology, and national events.
  • Arts and Culture: Covers Indian art forms, classical and contemporary music, theatre traditions, literature, and cultural history.
  • Cinema Awareness: Tests knowledge of Indian and international cinema, landmark films, major filmmakers, film history, genres, and movements like the Indian New Wave, French New Wave, Italian Neorealism, and Soviet Montage.
  • Television and Digital Media: Includes Indian television history, OTT platforms, the web series landscape, and media regulations in India.
  • Film Studies: Covers basic film theory, film language, cinematographic principles, narrative techniques, and editing concepts.
