Haryana LEET Eligibility Criteria 2024
Haryana LEET eligibility criteria 2024 states the minimum requirements to appear for the exam. Candidates must meet the educational qualifications to be eligible for Haryana LEET 2024.
General category students need at least 45% in a 3-year or 2-year Diploma examination in any branch of Engineering and Technology. Reserved category students need 40%.

Age Limit
There is no upper or lower age limit to apply for Haryana LEET exam 2024. Candidates with a 2-year or 3-year Engineering diploma in any branch can apply.
All relevant documents must be submitted at the time of admission at the respective colleges.
Kashmiri Migrant Relaxation
Kashmiri Migrant candidates get a relaxation of up to 10% in the cut-off percentage. This relaxation is subject to the minimum eligibility requirement.
Admission Process
Admission to Haryana LEET 2024 participating colleges is based on rank or inter-se-merit. HSTES prepares this from the percentage of marks obtained in the qualifying examination.
Tie-Breaking Criteria
When two or more candidates obtain equal aggregate marks in the qualifying examination, the inter-se-merit is decided in the following order:
- Resolution by Date of Birth of the candidate. Elder candidates get better ranks.
- Resolution by name of the candidate (in English as per the qualifying examination mark sheet).
- Resolution by Father's name of the candidate.
- Resolution by Mother's name of the candidate.
Admission Process for Kashmiri Migrants
One seat in each University or Institute is reserved for Kashmiri migrants for admission to 2nd year B.E./B.Tech. This seat is filled on a supernumerary basis.
The seat is filled based on the inter-se-merit of the percentage of the qualifying exam through online counselling by the Haryana State Technical Education Society.
Educational Qualifications
Candidates must fulfil the following educational qualifications for admission to the 2nd year (3rd Semester) of B.E. / B.Tech. courses:
- At least 45% aggregate marks in a Diploma in Engineering/Technology of a duration of 3 years or more from Haryana State Board of Technical Education or any equivalent institution.
- B.Sc Degree from a recognized University as defined by UGC, with at least 45% marks, and passed XII standard with mathematics as a subject.
- Candidates with a three-year diploma in architecture engineering can also apply for HLEET 2022.
Important Points for B.Sc Degree Candidates
- B.Sc stream candidates must clear the subjects of Engineering Graphics/Engineering Drawing and Engineering Mechanics of the first-year engineering program along with the second-year subjects.
- B.Sc. stream students are considered only after filling the supernumerary seats in this category with students from the Diploma stream.
Reserved Category Eligibility
Reserved categories must fulfil the following minimum educational qualifications for admission to the 2nd year (3rd Semester) of B.E. / B.Tech. courses.
SC Category
- At least 42.75% marks in aggregate in a Diploma in Engineering/Technology of a duration of 3 years or more from Haryana State Board of Technical Education or its equivalent.
- B.Sc Degree from a recognized University as defined by UGC, with at least 42.75% marks, and passed XII standard with mathematics as a subject.
Kashmiri Migrants
A relaxation of up to 10% in the cut-off is available for Kashmiri Migrants (KM). This is subject to the minimum eligibility requirement.
Each University or Institute under HSTES reserves a seat for Kashmiri migrants for LEET 2022. The seats are filled on a supernumerary basis on the inter-se-merit of the percentage of the qualifying exam through online counselling at www.techadmissionshry.gov.in by the Haryana State Technical Education Society.
Kashmiri Migrant candidates must possess the original certificate of migration signed by the competent authority or Relief Commissioner. This certificate is required during the HLEET 2022 selection process.
Candidates with a Diploma in Architecture are eligible for admission under the Lateral Entry Program only for B.E/B.Tech. Civil Engineering.
Tie-Breaking Criteria
If two candidates score equal marks in the qualifying examination, the following rules will decide the merit order.
- The candidate with higher marks in the aggregate of the 10th exam will rank higher.
- If the tie continues, the elder candidate will rank higher in the merit order.
Application Process for This Category
Candidates under this category must apply online and pay the application fee online by generating an E-Challan through www.onlinetesthry.gov.in.
Applicants must take a printout of the filled application form and submit it to the HSTES office before the closing date. The form must be submitted with attested copies of the following documents:
- Attested copy of Migration Certificate signed by the competent authority or Relief Commissioner.
- Attested copy of DMC of the qualifying examination.
- Attested copy of DMC of the 10th exam.
- Proof of application fee deposition.
Haryana Candidates
Haryana residents are also eligible for admission against All India Category seats.
Physically Handicapped Candidates
Only candidates with a permanent disability of not less than 40% will be considered for admission under the Physically Handicapped category. The candidate must otherwise be fit for admission to the course.
The disability certificate must be issued by the Chief Medical Officer of the concerned district. The certificate is subject to verification by a Medical Board constituted by the affiliating university.
The decision of the Board will be final.
Other Important Points
Students who have passed a Diploma in Engineering & Technology from an AICTE/UGC approved institute, or a B.Sc Degree from a recognized University as defined by UGC, are eligible for admission to first year Engineering Degree courses. This is subject to vacancies in the first year class if lateral entry vacancies are exhausted.
As per AICTE, lateral entry seats may be taken up to a maximum of 20% of the sanctioned intake.
Candidates with a Diploma in Architecture are eligible for lateral entry admission only for B.E/B.Tech Civil Engineering.
Possessing the minimum academic qualifications does not guarantee admission to B.E./B.Tech (Lateral Entry) courses. It only makes a candidate eligible to appear for the online exam.
Candidates appearing in the qualifying examination this year and expecting to pass it can also compete for the B.E./B.Tech (LEET)-2022 entrance exam.
Tuition Fee Waiver Scheme
The Tuition Fee Waiver Scheme (TFWS) applies to all approved Technical Institutions offering Bachelor Programs, Diploma and Post Diploma programs, and their lateral entry provisions.
Under this scheme, up to 5 percent of the sanctioned intake per course is available for these admissions. These seats are supernumerary in nature.
The waiver applies only to the tuition fee approved by the State Level Fee Committee for self-financing institutions, and by the Government for Government and Government Aided Institutions. All other fees must be paid by the beneficiary.
To avail this scheme, the annual income of the applicant's parents must be less than Rs. 6.00 lakhs from all sources.
Candidates applying under the TFW category for B.Tech (Lateral Entry) must take a printout of the filled application form and submit it to the HSTES office before the closing date. The form must be submitted with attested copies of the following documents:
- Income Certificate of the parents from all sources from the organization where they work, or an Affidavit of Income on stamp paper from a Notary. The annual income of parents or guardians must be less than Rs. 6.00 lakh from all sources.
- Haryana Resident Certificate, in case the candidate has not passed or appeared in the qualifying examination from Haryana.
- Proof of Entrance Test Fee deposition.
Candidates using the Tuition Fee Waiver (TFW) must fill the online application form on www.onlinetesthry.gov.in.
After applying, applicants will receive a unique application form number. This number may be used for any correspondence with HSTES.
