ORS WEEK CELEBRATIONS DEPT OF PEDIATRICS GMC KONNI As part of ORS week Department of Pediatrics GMC Konni observed ORS Day on July 29th with health education talk by Rani Meeran Nursing officer followed by class on ORS for undergraduates by Dr Devakumar V K HOD Pediatrics.

15th World Glaucoma week 2024 march 10th-16th celebrated at GMC Konni Ophthalmology Department under the aegis of NPCB & VI pathanamthitta on march 14th of 10.00 am. The program is inaugurated by the principal Dr Nisha R S. Dr Shaji A Professor spoke about Glaucoma .Felicitation done by Dr Arathy and Vote of thanks by Dr Chinmayi S Jith. following this program conducted an eye camp in the department for Glaucoma detection among staff & patients. The theme for this year is "Uniting for a Glaucoma Free World".

Department of biochemistry conducted Faculty Improvement Program - GEN TECHNIKA A workshop on PCR at biochemistry demo hall academic block on 20/02/2024. 43 participants from various departments attended the workshop. Scientific session with lecture on PCR was handled by Dr. Eldho Kuriakose, assistant professor, department of biochemistry and our guest speaker Dr. Lokeshwaran K, product specialist Himedia laboratories. This was followed by the demonstration of PCR by Dr. Lokeshwaran. The program came to an end by 3 pm.

Medical Education Unit our college conducted an inhouse Basic Course in Medical Education (BCME) from 10th to 12th October 2023. The course was supervised by a faculty from NMC Nodal Centre, Kottayam

Department of Forensic Medicine conducted Faculty Improvement Programme on 30/01/2024. Topic : Medical Certification of Cause of Death & Medicolegal Issues in Clinical Practice. The sessions were handled by Dr Renju Raveendran and Dr Valsala K.

As part of WHO's WAAW World Antimicrobial Resistance Awareness Week Nov 18-24th 2023, a public outreach program of Poster Presentation by staff and students was organized on Wednesday 22.11.2023. A dress code of color blue was also observed by all that day.
