Government College of Engineering - [GCE]

The Library of GCE, a house of books spreads over an area of 789.40 m2. There are eight active members including the librarian to maintain and have oversight of the process and services. It has a specialized collection of books, Journals, and other resources in sciences, Engineering, and technology. In addition, audio-visual information access facilities are provided. It holds a warm and comfortable environment that encourages study and intellectual growth. The library is well equipped with an ample number of tables and chairs. The racks are well partitioned as per the genres which hold 65099 numbers of books in total. It provides an easy way to fetch the required books.

The library is kept open from 10:00a.m to 6:00p.m daily. It provides special services like book bank (for ST/ST students), IEEE student branch services, and other general services such as lending service, reference service, and current awareness service. It serves 9 different daily newspapers to gather all the current affairs and other sealing information.

The lending service uses cards to lend the books to the students. Five cards are issued to all the students using which they can avail of five books each semester. Faculty members are provided with three more extra books and the students who belong to the SC/ST community can avail 10 books per semester.
