Fees
Fees at Government Medical College for the Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) program are structured annually. The tuition fee ranges from Rs. 22,000 to Rs. 30,000 per year. Additional fees during admission can include a PTA fund ranging from Rs. 13,000 to Rs. 17,000 and miscellaneous fees around Rs. 3,320. Monthly hostel fees range from Rs. 12,000 in the first year to Rs. 10,000 in subsequent years, with a mess fee of approximately Rs.
2,000 to Rs. 3,000 per month. Various scholarships are available, especially for minority, OBC, and economically weaker sections, including the MOMA scholarship, E-grantz, and others. Hostel and mess charges may be waived for some reserved categories under government schemes. House surgeons receive a monthly stipend of Rs. 26,000 to Rs. 30,000. Overall education expenses, inclusive of all fees and necessities, range from Rs. 2 to Rs. 4 lakh over the program's duration, with adjustments based on financial aid eligibility.
