Eligibility Criteria
- BE or B.Tech in a relevant engineering discipline from a VTU-recognised or equivalent university, with minimum 50% aggregate marks (45% for reserved category candidates).
- For M.Tech CSE: preferred background in Computer Science, Information Science, or allied computing discipline.
- For M.Tech DCN: preferred background in Electronics and Communication, Electrical, or Telecommunication Engineering.
- Valid Karnataka PGCET or GATE score required for the respective quota.
Admission Process
- Register for Karnataka PGCET at kea.kar.nic.in and appear for the M.Tech examination.
- Alternatively, use a valid GATE score for management-quota or GATE-quota admission.
- Participate in KEA PGCET counselling and select GSSSIETW with preferred specialisation.

Ans. Yes. GSSSIETW is a VTU-affiliated institution and its M.Tech degree meets the eligibility criteria for doctoral admissions at VTU and most recognised Indian universities. Graduates with the required aggregate may apply to VTU research centres directly.
Ques. Is M.Tech at GSSSIETW open to men?
Ans. No. GSSSIETW is Karnataka’s first exclusive women’s engineering institution. All programmes including M.Tech are open to women candidates only. Male candidates are not eligible.
Ques. What is the difference between M.Tech CSE and M.Tech DCN at GSSSIETW?
Ans. M.Tech CSE focuses on algorithms, machine learning, and distributed systems, suited to software and research roles.
