Sports and games are an important element in the holistic development of a student. SCMS Group of Educational Institutions places the utmost importance on promoting sports and physical well-being. To foster students’ talents in sports, the institution organizes a Sports Week and an annual inter-institutional sports meet. Students actively participate in various individual and group competitions, providing them with a platform to showcase their athletic skills during this week-long event. The institution also offers adequate infrastructure to support student participation in both internal and external sports activities.

These provide the students with opportunities for recreation after the classes, for which specific places are available for playing chess, carroms, table tennis, etc. Two Atria covering about 300 square meters are available inside the campus for playing indoor games. The institution gives due concern to the health and wellness of the students, too, by arranging a gymnasium and yoga rooms. The students and faculty members can utilize the equipment and facilities in the gymnasium to improve their physical strength. Trained instructors who lead, instruct, and motivate students and faculty are present in yoga and gym centers. Thus, the Institution also gives stress to physical development, for which it houses various facilities on the campus.

The institution also provides an opportunity to participate in outdoor sports activities, for which basketball, badminton, and football courts are available. To encourage students’ extracurricular talents, the SCMS Group of Educational Institutions conducts its annual sports meet every year during January–February. These events allow the students to participate at various levels, individually and in teams, within the SCMS Group of Educational Institutions. Students get an opportunity to showcase their sporting talents during this week-long sports meet. In addition to athletic skills, the event also helps nurture students’ organizational and leadership abilities. The sports meet features a wide range of both indoor and outdoor games.

For the Annual Sports Meet, Maharaja’s College Ground is also utilized, which is situated near the campus. Maharaja’s College Ground is taken on a lease basis whenever necessary for conducting the outdoor sports competitions.
