Overview History & Inception The Placement Cell of Shri Shankarlal Sundarbai Shasun Jain College for Women plays a crucial role in locating job opportunities for Under Graduates and Post Graduates passing out from the college by keeping in touch with reputed firms and industrial establishments. The Placement Cell operates round the year to facilitate contacts between companies and graduates. The number of students placed through the campus interviews is continuously rising. On invitation, many reputed industries visit the institute to conduct interviews.

The college started the Placement cell in the year 2007.We have been successful in maintaining our high placement statistics over the years and the fact that our students bear the recession blues with record breaking placements itself is a testimony to our quality. Our ingenious alumnae have set new standards in the corporate world through their estimable contributions and it is our firm conviction that we will continue that legacy in the years to come.

Our Vision To increase the employability skills of our students To strengthen and develop Industry – Institute partnership. Our Mission To train the students and enhance their employability skills. To network with the employers and establish a rapport with them by way of campus connect. Our Objective To provide employment opportunities and professional training to the students; The Placement Cell acts as a bond between the students, alumnae and the employers. To organize campus interviews for all the final year students and to make the students choose the right career. To give knowledge, skill, aptitude and meet the manpower requirements of the Industry / institutions.

Highlights of Placement Cell: 2023-24 20 Events – Placement Training, Career Guidance Programs, Alumnae Engagement Sessions, Placement Day & HR Conclave. The Placement Cell organized a Job Fair for the first time in association with Magic Bus India Foundation where 12 companies participated and 230 students were selected. This academic year, we had 37 companies for the on-campus drives. 22 new companies were added this year to the existing list of companies. This year we had exclusive core placements for PG -M.com with Deloittee in US Taxation process, with the highest Salary package of Rs.760000 P.A Top companies like Accenture, Mphasis, Hexaware IT, Verizon, Funds India, TCS, Movate (CSS Corp ),Sutherland etc. visited our campus. This year, we have placed 631 students in various companies across different sectors like IT, BPS, KPO, Healthcare, Banking & Insurance. Industry conclave Industry conclave for students in collaboration with ICT Academy on the 24th of September 2022 where stalwarts of the industry engaged in a discussion with students of the science sector. The session saw five experts share their experiences and knowledge to the students and instead of focusing on technical knowledge that students acquire through their respective courses, the range of the topics discussed were wider and generalised. There was a special emphasis on the scope of women employment and career opportunities. There was a Q&A session that brought up some interesting ideas and conversation. The event was a grand success and it proved to be massively helpful to the students for identifying and making the best use of opportunities that come their way. Placement Training & Career Guidance Workshops Workshop on “Interview Skills – Global Talent Track Private Limited A workshop was conducted for the all streams through virtual mode on 28.10.2021 to 29.10.2021. The session was handled by Ms. Kanchanaa S, Sr. Manager-Delivery, Global Talent Track Private Limited.

The keys to effectively interviewing include preparation, energy, enthusiasm, and strategy. Taking the time to do company research, understanding where you fit within the organization, and having a clear idea of what you can contribute is time well-spent

Career Guidance Program on account of our Honorable CM’s Bday was organised.They have selected only 2 self financing college & we are one among them.Our CM inagurated “Naan Mudhalvan Thittam”& addressed the students & we live streamed the event in our college, 200 final years attended the same.

We had a panel discussion by our alumni working in 5 different companies on : Corporate expectations from the Academic Institutions ,A placement perspective” .

We also organised various competitions for students on Resume writing; Mock Aptitude test, Mock Interviews, Coding competitions & provided e-certificates to the best performers.
