Fees at National Institute of Technology for the Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Biotechnology) program range considerably based on several factors such as student category and family income. For general category students, the tuition fee can reach approximately INR 82,000 per semester, while the total cost for the entire program can amount to around INR 8 lakhs. Notably, there are significant financial aids and waivers available. SC/ST students, as well as those with a family income below INR 1 lakh per annum, are exempt from tuition fees and only need to pay about INR 28,100 per semester to cover other expenses.

For families earning between INR 1 lakh and INR 5 lakh per annum, two-thirds of the tuition fee is waived. Additional fees include hostel charges at around INR 19,500 per semester as well as a first-semester additional fee of INR 21,000 for administrative purposes.
