NIT Kurukshetra has released the admission schedule for 2026. The dates cover B.Tech, M.Tech, MBA, M.Sc and MCA programs. Each program has its own entrance exam and counselling process.

For B.Tech, admission is based on JEE Main scores followed by JoSAA Counselling. The counselling registration and choice filling starts on June 2, 2026 and ends on June 11, 2026. Round 1 seat allotment is on June 13, 2026. Round 2 seat allotment is on June 30, 2026. Round 3 seat allotment is on July 6, 2026. Round 4 seat allotment is on July 10, 2026. Round 5 seat allotment is on July 16, 2026.

For M.Tech, admission is based on a valid GATE score through CCMT counselling. CCMT registration and choice filling starts on May 15, 2026 and ends on June 5, 2026. Round 1 seat allotment is on June 12, 2026. Round 2 seat allotment is on June 22, 2026. Round 3 seat allotment is on June 27, 2026. Special round registration is from July 14 to July 18, 2026. Special round 1 seat allotment is on July 22, 2026. Special round 2 seat allotment is on July 27, 2026. National spot round registration is from August 1 to August 4, 2026. National spot round seat allotment is on August 5, 2026.

For MBA, admission is through the Department of Management Studies (DOMS). MBA Admission 2026 is currently going on. Registration is from March 2 to May 5, 2026. Group discussion and personal interview is on May 8, 2026. The merit list is displayed on May 20, 2026. First round of admission counselling is from May 21 to May 22, 2026. The second merit list is displayed on May 25, 2026. Second round of admission counselling is on May 28, 2026.

For M.Sc, admission is based on IIT JAM scores followed by CCMN counselling. CCMN registration and choice filling starts on May 15, 2026 and ends on June 5, 2026. Round 1 seat allotment is on June 12, 2026. Round 2 seat allotment is on June 22, 2026. Round 3 seat allotment is on June 27, 2026. Special round registration is from July 14 to July 18, 2026. Round 1 seat allotment (special) is on July 22, 2026. Round 2 seat allotment (special) is on July 27, 2026. National spot round registration is from August 1 to August 4, 2026. Round 1 seat allotment (spot round) is on August 5, 2026.

For MCA, admission is based on the NIMCET entrance exam. NIMCET counselling registration and choice filling is from June 30 to July 3, 2026. 1st round seat allotment is on July 6, 2026. 2nd round seat allotment is on July 11, 2026. 3rd round seat allotment is on July 16, 2026. Special round registration is from July 22 to July 24, 2026. Special round seat allotment is on July 25, 2026.

The entrance exam dates for 2026 are also available. JEE Main session 1 exam is from January 21 to January 28, 2026. JEE Main session 2 exam is from April 2 to April 8, 2026. GATE exam is on February 7, 8, 14 and 15, 2026. CAT exam is on December 24, 2025. IIT JAM exam is on March 20, 2026. NIMCET exam is on June 29, 2026.
