Ques. What is the scope of B.Tech Agricultural Engineering after graduation?

Ans. B.Tech Agricultural Engineering graduates have excellent career prospects in various sectors including agricultural equipment manufacturing, government agricultural departments, research institutions, and private agricultural companies. Ques. Is the entrance examination difficult? What is the syllabus?

Ans. The OUAT entrance examination is moderately challenging and covers Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics at 12th standard level. The exam consists of 200 multiple-choice questions (66 marks in Physics, 66 in Chemistry, and 68 in Mathematics) to be completed in 2 hours. There is no negative marking. The syllabus includes mechanics, thermodynamics, organic and inorganic chemistry, algebra, trigonometry, and coordinate geometry. Regular practice with previous year question papers and mock tests significantly improves performance.

Ques. What is the difference between general seat and cost-sharing seat?

Ans. General seats are government-funded with lower fees (Rs. 59,000 for the entire course), while cost-sharing seats are partially funded by the government with higher fees (Rs. 1,50,500). Both seats offer the same quality of education and facilities. Cost-sharing seats are available for candidates who do not secure general seats but wish to pursue the course. The admission process and curriculum are identical for both categories.

Ques. Can I change my optional subject (Mathematics/Biology) after submitting Form-A?

Ans. Yes, you can edit Form-A till the last date of submission (May 11, 2026) to change your optional subject. However, once the deadline passes, no changes are permitted. For B.Tech Agricultural Engineering, Physics and Chemistry are compulsory, and Mathematics is the optional subject. Choose carefully as the entrance exam will be based on your selected optional subject.
