Keeping in view of above two diseases to reduce the burden on families affected, we formed a society “The Thalassemia and Hemophilia Society”. Established on 04.01.2017, with 14 members headed by Dr. V.C. Charantimath. NGO, registered with Govt of Karnataka. The main aim of our society is to give free blood transfusion, free chelating drugs, free investigation and treatment for Thalassemia children and supplying and treating Hemophilia with factor transfusion at subsidized rates.
We have 134 registered Thalassemia children who are receiving free treatment since 3 month. We are doing this through generous donations given by kind donors who are concerned with over all well being of these children. 87 donors donated so far. We thrive to give better treatment to these children for better future. We run hemato oncology clinic first Wednesday of every month at OPD no-22.
An advanced cadaveric skill lab is a specialized training facility where medical professionals, particularly surgeons, can practice and refine their techniques using human cadavers. These labs are designed to provide hands-on experience with anatomical structures, allowing practitioners to perform various procedures in a controlled, realistic setting.
Lab is equipped with six operating microscopes with all instruments required for mastoid surgery training. In this lab microvascular anastomosis, nerve suturing, white matter brain dissection, skull base surgery, plastic surgery flaps, Ophthalmology surgeries can be practiced. Lab has soft embalmed cadavers which are life like high fidelity, best for learning all surgical skills.
Genetic testing is a type of medical diagnostic test that identifies changes in chromosomes, genes or proteins. In Genetic tests we examine a person's DNA in a variety of sequences. They are all designed to help us to identify a particular gene that may cause a genetic disorder. Our Genetic Laboratory was established in 2017.
