Tagore Government College of Education

Tagore Government College of Education in Andaman and Nicobar Islands Port Blair has played very vital role in prompting the education in India and from this college we can get better, skilled and competent teachers every year. Due to this reason, most of the students who want to get into teaching line prefer to take admission in this college. This college is affiliated by Punjab University and come into recognition in the year 1981.

The history of this college is very interesting. In first attempt they took 50 trainees and then they put all the focus on the 50 students and get better skills. The College is also put as the Centre for various Exams.

The exams like Sainik School and SSC, RIMC, Distance Education programmers Madras, Alagappa University, Madurai Kamraj University, Punjab Technical University etc. The new building of this college was made in the year 2004 in April.
