Andaman & Nicobar Islands Institute of Medical Sciences popularly known as “ANIIMS Port Blair” is a Central Government funded institute located in Port Blair, Andaman & Nicobar Islands. ANIIMS is affiliated with Pondicherry University and approved by the National Medical Council (NMC). ANIIMS Port Blair along with GB Pant Hospital works as a Referral Hospital for all the Hospitals & Healthcare Centers situated in the Andaman & Nicobar Islands.
The institute’s most popular course offered at ANIIMS is a flagship program of MBBS. ANIIMS Port Blair offers a total of 114 seats annually for MBBS course. The institute offers merit scholarships provided by the central government for students based on family income.
