About the Institution
Indian Institute of Gems & Jewellery (IIGJ), Mumbai was established in the year 2003. It was initiated as a project by the Gem & Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC) and is operating under the Ministry of Commerce & Industries. The institute is affiliated to Savitribai Phule University and Mewar University.
IIGJ offers BA in Gems and Jewellery as an undergraduate course. It also offers Post graduate Diploma in Jewellery Management of 1 year duration. Admission to the courses are based on marks obtained in the previous qualifying examinations.
IIGJ provides career guidance to the students and serve as a intermidiatary between the students and the industry. More than 500 students have been placed and the highest package offered is INR 6 LPA. Titan, Tanishq, Caratlane, Bluestone, are some of the Top recruiters of the institute.
