The Department of pharmacy Practice is associated with Aster CMI Hospital,hebbal, a 350+ beded NABH accredited hospital to provides one of the best clinical exposures to the Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D) students. The team of doctors and health care professionals along with mentors and clinical preceptors make sure to streamline our students to get best clinical experience.

A dedicated clinical pharmacy lab is one of the prestigious work of Department of Pharmacy Practice for the advanced Pharmacy Practice standards.Various Trainings provided are Drug Store Management, Prescription Filling ,Health Screening services,Patient counselling,First Aid training.

The college has a CPCSEA recognized (626/PO/Re/S/02/CPCSEA) animal house facility for in-house research. The animals are housed as per CPCSEA guidelines under the care of a veterinarian. Experiments on small animals (mice, rats and rabbits) are carried out with prior approval from Institutional Animal Ethics committee. The committee comprises of eminent scientists and veterinarian along with a nominated member from CPCSEA. The animal house annually inspected by the CPCSEA nominee for compliance of guidelines.

“Dhanvantri” Medicinal and Aromatic Plant garden’s mission is to seek, verify and apply knowledge related to identification of medicinal and aromatic plants and to disseminate this knowledge through student education. This is located at the rear side of the college and is extended over an area of 15 x 45 ft. This garden has more than 59 medicinal and aromatic plant species grown for teaching and training of D.Pharm, B.Pharm, Pharm D. and Research students.

NAAC proposes that every accredited institution should establish an Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) as a post-accreditation quality sustenance measure. Since quality enhancement is a continuous process, the IQAC will become a part of the institution’s system & work towards realization of the goals of quality enhancement & sustenance. The prime task of the IQAC is to develop a system for conscious, consistent & catalytic improvement in the overall performance of institutions.

The department has been maintaining a state-of-art pilot plant for development and scale up of dosage forms that houses a rotary tablet press, table top Spray dryer and Kalweka main drive with interchangeable attachments for sizing, mixing, granulating, pelletizing and coating. The department encourages the students, research scholars and faculty to undertake quality research leading to innovations.

A vibrant Training and Placement Cell is in place at K.L.E College of Pharmacy, Bengaluru to train and place the outgoing students in Pharmaceutical companies and business corporations, to provide information on various career opportunities.
