KNSIT BE FAQs

Ques. Why is the BE AI and ML fee lower than other branches at KNSIT?

Ans. BE Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning at KNSIT carries a total fee of INR 3,86,000 for four years, which is the KCET-regulated fee set by VTU for that branch category. Other specialisations such as CSE and ECE fall under a different fee bracket at INR 7,44,000 as per VTU and Karnataka fee regulation norms. The difference is determined by the fee committee and not by the college independently.

Ques. What is the difference between BE AI and ML and BE AI and DS at KNSIT?

Ans. BE AI and Machine Learning focuses on algorithms, deep learning, neural networks, and AI application development. BE Artificial Intelligence and Data Science covers data engineering, statistical analysis, machine learning, and data-driven decision-making. Both are four-year VTU programmes. Students should select based on whether they prefer AI model development or data analytics as a career direction.

Ques. Does KNSIT have industry tie-ups for BE internships and placements?

Ans. KNSIT has a placement cell that coordinates campus drives and internship opportunities. Placement outcomes vary significantly by branch and graduation year. Candidates should verify current placement data directly with KNSIT before selecting a specialisation based on placement expectations.

Ques. Is KNSIT Yelahanka well-connected to Bengaluru city for daily commuters?

Ans. KNSIT is located in Yelahanka, North Bengaluru, approximately 20 km from the city centre. The area is served by BMTC buses and is accessible from Kempegowda International Airport. Students commuting from central Bengaluru should factor in travel time when considering the campus.

Ques. Can KNSIT BE graduates apply for M.Tech through GATE at premier institutes?

Ans. Yes. VTU-affiliated BE graduates are eligible to appear for GATE and apply for M.Tech at IITs, NITs, and other centrally funded technical institutions. Admission to premier institutes through GATE depends entirely on the individual GATE score and not on the undergraduate college.
