She also demonstrates a strong research interest in microbiological studies related to wood sciences. Dr. SriLakshmi, under the headship of Late Prof. Chandrika K., played a pivotal role in establishing the Department of Microbiology in 1999 at Maharani Lakshmi Ammanni College for Women, Bangalore.
