About the Institution

Founded under the aegis of Noorul Islam Trust, Al-Azhar Medical College is part of a group of 12 educational institutions in Thodupuzha. With a focus on experiential learning and practical exposure, students are trained in a real-world hospital setting to become competent medical professionals.
It was an arduous but gratifying task when we embarked on our journey in 2014 to establish a medical college and Super-specialty Hospital at Thodupuzha in Idukki District, after founding an array of educational institutions in Engineering, Dental, Arts & Science, Law, Polytechnic, and CBSE schools. The road ahead was not so rosy—we toiled hard, fought against the odds and waded through challenges to achieve our goals. The journey is still on because we have promises to keep and miles to go…
The college and the Hospital predominantly focus on shaping a new genre of doctors committed to the nation and people, while providing high-quality healthcare services to the common man at affordable charges.
