College of Medicine and JNM Hospital, also known as Kalyani Medical College, is a government hospital established in 2009. It is affiliated with the West Bengal University of Health Sciences (WBUHS), which is ranked 11th in Kolkata.

The college and hospital share a single campus of 76.3 acres. The college admits about 100-120 students to the MBBS programme each year. Since it was founded only about a decade ago, the college has relatively newer technology and continues to upgrade.

• The hospital has 450 teaching beds for the heavy inflow of patients, giving students varied experience. Students are paid quite well.
• Students can choose to do a one-year junior residency. This is not mandatory, but many choose to do it.
• After the one-year internship, students are registered as medical officers and can immediately earn a job at a government hospital.

The college provides several facilities for students. These are meant to support their overall development.

• Hostel – Students are required to stay on campus. Separate hostels for girls and boys are available at a subsidised rate. This helps reduce travel time and related stress.
• Labs and Research Rooms – Each department has its own lab based on curriculum needs. Students are encouraged to ask questions and develop an interest in research from the start.
• Sports – Outdoor spaces are available for students to play various sports during breaks.
• Cultural Fest – A cultural fest is organised every year. A fresher’s party and Independence Day celebration are also held.
