  • H.S.C / (+2) or equivalent qualification with English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Botany & Zoology with minimum marks as per MCI norms.

To apply at COMJNMH, a candidate must first appear for NEET. Medical admissions are done through counselling.

  • After NEET results are announced, the counselling process begins.
  • Cut-offs for various institutions are released by the respective institutions.
  • The counselling process is handled by either the Medical Counselling Centre (MCC), a central body, or by individual state counselling centres.
  • A candidate needs to register for this counselling process. For MCC registration (under AIQ 15%), candidates register on https://mcc.nic.in/UGCounselling/. For state quota admission (under 85% State quota), candidates register with the state counselling body. In West Bengal, the registration site is https://wbmcc.nic.in/#.
  • After successful registration, candidates fill out their college choices in a preferential ranking format.
  • A student is allocated a college based on the highest preference, NEET score and rank, and the college cut-off.

Internship and Placement

The college is on the same campus as JNM Hospital. This gives students practical insight into professional performance.

  • Students in the last year are required to do an internship at the same hospital.
  • The hospital has 450 teaching beds for the heavy inflow of patients, giving students varied experience. Students are paid quite well.
