 Admission to various courses at IIM Indore is based on composite scores of national-level entrance exam scores, Written Ability Test, Academics and Personal Interview. The institute accepts CAT scores for Indian Nationals and GMAT scores for Foreign nationals as its minimum qualifying criteria for admission to its  MBA courses.
The final score weightage at IIM Indore has 40% for CAT exam score, 45% weightage for PI, 10% weightage on Academics, and 5% weightage on diversity factors, in final admission to its MBA courses.

Note: 

• From the 2026-28 session, to get shortlisted for PI, the weightage of Class XII marks has been increased to 25% from 10% previous year and that of Class X marks remains the same at 10%.

IIM Indore Admission Dates 2026

IIM Indore offers admission to its various management programs based on scores in entrance exams. The institute considers entrance exam scores as its minimum eligibility criteria for the admission process. The candidates securing minimum cutoff scores in entrance exam are eligible for next steps in the admission process. Important dates regarding entrance exams are given below-

IIM Indore MBA Admission 2026

IIM Indore offers MBA programs at the PG levels. The minimum eligibility criteria for admission to this program is to have passed graduation with at least 50% marks. The institute requires a minimum cutoff percentile of 90 percentile in CAT (Indian Candidates), or 700 score in GMAT scores (International Candidates). The final admission to the PGP program is based on the composite score of Entrance exam score, Academics, Diversity, Personal Interview, etc. During the final provisional admission process 30% weightage is given to GMAT scores and 70% weightage is given to Personal Interview for foreign candidates .

IIM Indore MBA Admission: Indian Candidates

The initial stage for admission to the PGP course at IIM Indore is registering for CAT exams. The candidates need to register for CAT 2025, by filling out the required details and paying an application fee of INR 2600 for general category candidates.

Candidates applying for CAT 2025 should fulfill any one of the following conditions:

● Completed should have completed Bachelor’s degree with at least 50% marks.

● Completed professional degree (CA/CS/ICWA (CMA)/Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries of India (FIAI))..

● Should be in the final year of Bachelor’s degree with required percentage.

Note: Any candidate who is interested in applying for PGP of IIM Indore needs to exercise his/her option to apply while registering for CAT 2025. No change in the category will be entertained after the closure of the CAT registration window.

IIM Indore MBA Selection Criteria

Only those applicants meeting the specified criteria (both sectional and overall cutoffs) will be considered for Stage-II of the selection process.

Stage 2: Shortlisting for Personal Interview

Candidates will be shortlisted for PI based on the composite score as mentioned below. The weightage for Class XII marks has increased to 25% and the weightage for Class X remains the same at 10% for the year 2026-28. CAT sectional score holds 55% weightage.

Stage 3: Final Selection

The candidates are selected based on composite scores of CAT Scores, Academic Scores, Diversity Factors, and Personal Interview. The composite score is calculated based on the weightage for different stages of the admission process as decided by IIM Indore. The final merit list is prepared as per the given table-

IIM Indore MBA Batch Profile

IIM Indore offers admission to candidates from diverse backgrounds. A total of 591 students were enrolled in various courses at IIM Indore during the academic session 2023-25 with gender diversity in ratio 7:3 (Male: Female). IIM Indore IPM Application Procedure (Indian Candidates)

Eligible candidates should submit their application online (visit www.iimidr.ac.in) and pay the online non-refundable/non-transferable application fee of Rs. 4,130 / Rs. 2,065 (for SC/ST/PwD category candidates).

Candidates belonging to NC‐OBC, SC, ST, and PwD categories need to produce valid Caste/Category certificate(s) in support of their reservation category, and candidates belonging to Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) need to produce a valid document ascertaining the eligibility of the candidate to apply under EWS category.

IIM Indore Executive MBA Admission 2026

IIM Indore offers an Executive PGP program especially for candidates having work experience, with a duration of 1 year. The program is spread over five academic terms at IIM Indore campus and one International Immersion module at one of the top-ranking international universities. Admission to these programs is based on scores in entrance exams such as CAT/GMAT/GRE, followed by a Personal Interview.

IIM Indore Executive MBA Eligibility Criteria

The candidates must have-

Educational Qualification:

• 50% in a Bachelor’s Degree or its equivalent in any discipline.
  OR
• 50% in a Master’s Degree or its equivalent in any discipline.

• 50% in Five-year Integrated Programme/other programmes of similar duration.

A valid GMAT/GRE/CAT score-

• The GMAT and GRE scores should be within 5 years of the application deadline date, and the CAT score should be within 2 years of the application deadline.

• Minimum 5 years of managerial/ entrepreneurial/ professional experience after graduation as of the application deadline date i.e. November 16, 2025 (for Phase 1) and January 15, 2026 (for Phase 2).

IIM Indore Executive MBA Application Process

Candidates seeking admission to the Executive Post Graduate Programme in Management of IIM Indore should submit their online application form during September 18, 2025 to January 15, 2026, and pay the online non-refundable/ non-transferable Application processing fee of Rs. 5,900 (including GST) for Indian nationals and US$118 (including GST) for Foreign nationals. Interviews of shortlisted candidates will be conducted offline/online through the Zoom application, depending on the situation.

IIM Indore Executive MBA Selection Process

Short-listing candidates for the interview will be done based on GMAT/GRE/CAT score and/or any other criteria as decided by the Admissions Committee for that academic year. Shortlisted candidates shall appear for the Personal Interview (PI).

IIM Indore offers a Doctoral Program in Management in 9 different specializations of management. For its Doctoral Programme in Management (DPM) IIM Indore seeks high-quality candidates with a strong academic background, preferably with professional experience.

IIM Indore Ph.D Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must have:

• Master’s degree in any discipline with at least 60 percent aggregate marks or equivalent grade point average.

• Postgraduate Diploma (2 years) with at least 60 percent aggregate marks or equivalent grade point average.

• Professional qualifications CA, ICWA, CS with at least 50 percent aggregate marks.

Online GMAT/GRE (Take home) exam scores are not valid. Only test centre-based GMAT/GRE scores are valid. Exemptions from the above tests would be given to candidates who have an MBA or equivalent from any of the IIMs.

IIM Indore Ph.D Selection Criteria

The candidates will be shortlisted (on the recommendation of the respective areas) on the based information provided in the application form. The selection process is as follows:

Stage 1: The candidates satisfying the academic eligibility criteria as mentioned above should submit their application online.

Stage 2: Based on the applications received, candidates satisfying Academic eligibility criteria and acceptable standard test the shortlisting will be done and candidates will be called for Personal Interview (PI), to be conducted at IIM Indore during March / April

Stage 3: Candidates not meeting the minimum performance in any of PI parameters will not be considered for the next stage of the selection process i.e. Stage-4.

Stage 4: Final selection will be based on the requirements of the academic area to which the candidate has applied and an area-wise offer list will be prepared.
