SM Shanbhag Hegdekar Institute of Teachers Training

SM Shanbhag Hegdekar Institute of Teachers Training was established in 2006 and located in city Kannada state of Karnataka. The institute offers only one course Diploma in Education to increase the circle of well qualified teachers and increase the educational opportunities in the community. It is approved by the Government of Karnataka.

This institute is run by the Konkan Education Trust and the board of trustees resolved to name the institute in his name Shri S M Shanbhag.The institute has well infrastructure facilities and there are 3 classrooms, 3 laboratories first lab for psychology, another for science and third for computer. There is library with reading room and well seating arrangement for students and staff. The institute has playground and sports facilities for the physical development of the student.The necessary facilities like Ayurvedic, Allopathic and Eye, STD Booth, Xerox Centre, Canteen etc., are available near the college campus.
