Established in 1999 by the Al Ghurair Group, Al Ghurair University (AGU) was a private institution based in Dubai International Academic City. It offered industry-relevant programs in engineering, business, law, and design, with a focus on practical learning and student support. Known for its modern campus and merit-based scholarships, AGU built strong ties with UAE’s key sectors.

Al Ghurair University (AGU) offered a variety of merit-based scholarships for both UAE nationals and international students. These included entrance scholarships of up to 50% tuition fee waivers for high-performing high school graduates and merit scholarships for current students based on semester GPA. AGU also partnered with leading national organizations to provide fully funded scholarships such as the ADNOC, TRA “Betha”, ENEC & FANR Nuclear Energy, NESA Tamayuz, and the Future Teachers Program.

Many of these covered full tuition, housing, and monthly stipends. Additionally, a 25% tuition discount was available for families with more than one enrolled student. These scholarships were designed to support academic excellence and align students with future career opportunities in key sectors.
