English requirements
Minimum English proficiency score requirements for international applicants at Open Polytechnic of New Zealand:
- Certificate & Diploma (Level 5): IELTS Academic overall score of 5.5 with no band lower than 5.0 (or equivalent TOEFL iBT / PTE Academic score).
- Diploma (Level 6) & Undergraduate Degrees (Level 7): IELTS Academic overall score of 6.0 with no band lower than 5.5 (or TOEFL iBT overall 60+, PTE Academic overall 50+).
- Graduate Diplomas (Level 7): IELTS Academic overall score of 6.0 or 6.5 depending on the specific subject area, with no sub-score below 5.5 or 6.0.
