Accommodation options available for students studying at NMIT include:

• On-Campus / Managed Student Apartments: Options such as Nikau Apartments near the Nelson campus provide single studios as well as shared two, three, or four-bedroom fully self-contained apartments. Weekly rates generally range from NZD 220 to NZD 330 per week (excluding electricity).
• Homestay Accommodation: Living with a local host family, which includes a private bedroom and meals, costing around NZD 14,000 per academic year.
