Symbiosis Institute of Business Management - [SIBM]

Dr. Pravin Kumar Bhoyar is an experienced academic leader who joined SIBM Nagpur as Director on 22 July 2026. Prior to this, he spent more than two decades at the Symbiosis Institute of Management Studies (SIMS), Pune, progressing from a faculty member to Deputy Director and gaining extensive experience in teaching, research, and academic administration. He holds a Ph.D. in Management from Symbiosis International University, an MBA in Marketing, and a degree in Production Engineering. He also serves as a research supervisor at the University, guiding Ph.D. scholars in their research pursuits. Over the years, he has built a strong reputation in the field of corporate governance, headed a dedicated centre in this area, and led the well-known MBA (Executive) programme at SIMS for working professionals. He has worked closely with government bodies and corporate organisations on research and training projects covering corporate governance, corporate social responsibility, and regional economic development. He has published extensively in reputed academic journals, authored a book, and contributed a case study to an international publication. His teaching and mentorship have helped many students progress to senior positions in government and industry. To further strengthen his understanding of board-level governance, he has completed the Independent Director Programme. With this blend of academic depth, administrative experience, and expertise in governance, he now brings his knowledge and experience to lead SIBM Nagpur.
