Vivekanand Education Society Institute of Technology - [VESIT]

A Circular is mailed to all Engineering and MCA students at the beginning of the semester where they are asked to fill their personal, academic and financial details with proof wherever necessary. From the responses, department wise data is segregated by the department scholarship incharges. The criteria of CGPA and financial status is then verified via offline interviews with the students. An overall meeting is then conducted by the Scholarship team for selection of students based on their financial status, academic score, provided they are not receiving the same from other sources. This is verified through the Accounts department of the institute. A preference of General category and CAP students are always given as a case to case basis. The selection is approved after discussion with the Principal (Dr. Mrs. J.M. Nair) and Vice principal, (Dr. Mrs. M.Vijayalakshmi) of the institute.

Non-Govt. Scholarships 2025-26VESIT ScholarshipAll students of SE, TE, BE and MCA whose family income is less than 3 lakhs per annum and have CGPA of 7.00 and above can apply for scholarships for the year 2025-26. Students getting Full Tuition Fees waiver (TFWS / SC / ST / NT / SBC) are not eligible for this Scholarship.The last date for completed forms to be submitted is 1st October 2025. Scanned copies of Mark sheets of 10th, 12th and the semesters passed should be attached along with the income certificate (for financial year 2024-25), Mobile bills of past six months, Electricity bills of past two months and Category proof (if any).

Non-VES ScholarshipsOther than VES scholarships, merit cum means scholarships are given by Jadavpur University Alumni Association (JUAA trust), Ekam Education Program (EEP), IDFC FIRST Bank Engineering Scholarship Programme, Bluestar Scholarship etc. for which the same form will be considered.

Criteria of other scholarships will be mailed to the students as and when available with the institute.

Girl students belonging to the Economically Backward Classes (EBC), Socially and Educationally Backward Classes (SEBC) and Other Backward Classes (OBC) categories, whose annual family income is less than Rs 8 lakh, will be given 100% concession in tuition and examination fees for professional courses. This concession will be applicable only to students admitted through the Centralised Admission Process (CAP). The decision was made by the state government on July 8, 2024.Therefore it is requested that eligible students should refrain from filling the VESIT scholarship form.
