Faculty of Law, DU offers scholarships to meritorious and deserving candidates. It also gives fee waivers or relaxations based on government and University rules.
Scholarships are available to students across all law programmes. This includes LL.B. (3-year), LL.M. (postgraduate) and PhD scholars. There are awards for academic excellence, endowment scholarships, and national or University-level financial aid.
The specific scholarships offered are:
- Jagdev Memorial Scholarship: For law students from the EWS category. It is based on merit and category, with support of approximately INR 14,000 per year.
- B.R. Handa Memorial Scholarship: For law students at the Campus Law Centre (CLC). It is a merit-based, campus-specific award.
- H.V. Goswami Memorial Scholarship: For law students at the Campus Law Centre (CLC). It is a merit-based campus award.
- Dr. Ram Kishore Memorial Scholarship: For LL.B. students. It is a merit-cum-means award with a monthly stipend under rules.
- Nain Sukh Gauba & Devi Huti Gauba Memorial Scholarship: For law students. It is an endowment-funded award with a monthly stipend per rules.
- Vijay Kumar Chadha Memorial Scholarship: For law students. It is a donor-established merit fund.
- C. Rai Barrister of Sialkot Memorial Scholarship: For law students. It is a funded award for law students.
- Justice Sunanda Bhandare Fellowship (Constitutional Law): For law students. It is a funded fellowship in law.
- Sohan Lal Sethi Memorial Scholarship: For law students. It is a merit-based award with a prize of INR 25,000.
