Ques. What is the UCEED cutoff score for DTU B.Des 2026?

Ans. The UCEED cutoff for DTU B.Des varies by category and by the Delhi region or outside-Delhi quota. In Round 1 of 2026 admissions, the general category Delhi region closing UCEED score was around 151, while the outside-Delhi general category closing score was higher at around 180. These figures are indicative and vary across rounds. Candidates should refer to the official DTU admissions portal for round-wise merit lists.

Ques. Which design specialisations are available in DTU B.Des?

Ans. DTU’s B.Des programme at the Department of Design Innovations covers specialisations in Product Design, Interaction Design, Transportation and Service Design, Visual Communication, and Lifestyle and Accessory Design. Students are typically assigned to a specialisation based on UCEED rank and available seats. The programme integrates engineering thinking with creative design skills, preparing students for careers in design studios, automotive companies, tech firms, and user experience roles.

Ques. Is UCEED 2026 mandatory for B.Des admission at DTU?

Ans. Yes, a valid UCEED 2026 score is mandatory for admission to B.Des at DTU. UCEED is conducted by IIT Bombay in January each year.
