Fees at Delhi Technological University for the Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) in Mechanical Engineering program progressively increase each year. First-year fees are approximately Rs. 229,000 with annual hikes around Rs. 10,000-20,000 per year. Over four years, this amounts to a total tuition cost of roughly Rs. 9,50,000 to Rs. 10,00,000, excluding hostel and mess fees which range from Rs. 85,000 to Rs. 1,00,000 annually. Scholarships are available based on family income and category, potentially covering up to 100% of tuition for economically weaker sections.
Additionally, there are various merit-based and category-specific scholarships, such as the DTU fee concession and the National Scholarship Portal (NSP). The university provides financial aid to enable students from low-income backgrounds to afford their education, and support is also available in the form of education loans from banks located within the campus.
